Lip Fillers
Sometimes patients have a desire for fuller upper lips. For relatively small “ adjustments”, injections are often used. These are temporary, however; there are more permanent fillers available.

Non Surgical (Ancillary) Procedures
As part of the ageing process, the detrimental effects of sun exposure, natural gravity and facial muscle movement become more evident. The tissue that keeps skin looking youthful and firm begins to deteriorate. This results in “crows feet”, smile lines and facial creases. Lips also shrink. The usual process to try and alleviate these lines and creases is to inject certain substances or reduce muscle action.

Elos - Skin Tightening
The ST Treatment is the latest advancement in non-invasive skin tightening treatments. Intense Pulse Light (Photorejuvenation)

Wrinkle Treatments
Utilising a muscle relaxant that works at the nerve muscle junction, a tiny amount is injected into the muscle via a fine needle, blocking the nerve impulse from reaching the specific area. As the muscles ease up, wrinkles in the skin slowly diminish and often vanish, making the face look more relaxed and revitalized. Areas typically treated are the furrowed lines between eyebrows. This is a quick and easy treatment that can be carried out during a lunch break.

Temporary Fillers
These may be injected into fine lines and wrinkles to make the skin appear smoother and younger. These injectables can also be used in lips and cheeks. An allergy skin test, depending on the choice of filler used, is required six weeks prior to your treatment.

There are several types of injectable fillers available, one of which the manufacturers claim to be permanent. It is used for lip enlargement, deep wrinkles and facial contours e.g. cheekbone enhancement.

Viscoelastic Gels
Injectable gels allow speedy and instant corrections without the need for a skin test for allergy. They are made of hyaluronic acid and are injected under the surface of the skin at intervals, along the line of the wrinkle. The gels can be used on frown lines, acne scars and smile lines to make them appear smooth. They can also be used to produce a fuller look in lips. They dissipate naturally over time and are perfect for anyone who wants and instant improvement.
